Ø Sign up:Individual or group application. Group application for short-term Chinese training with more than 5 students is accepted. Class, courses and activities are arranged according to the specific condition of students.

Class Arrangement: Includes Language Learning, Cultural Experience, Language Practice.

Language Learning

This program is mainly Chinese language oriented, in order to improve students’ ability to communicate in Chinese in a very short period of time.

Cultural Experience

In the meantime, we offer Chinese Calligraphy, Seal Cutting, Chinese Painting, Chinese Paper Cut, Chinese Knot, Chinese Martial Art, Qin, Tea classes to give students the best experiences of Chinese culture.

Language Practice

There are also plenty of activities after class, such as visiting historical sites and scenic spots, visiting museums, watching performances and partying with Chinese friends.

Meeting Time:

Monday --- Friday，20-28 hours per week, group enrollment for cooperative programs can be arranged by mutual agreement.

Graduation

Ø Students will receive their transcript after the short-term program (with attendance rate).

Ø Student whose attendance rate reaches 85% or above and qualified in every classes will receive a Certification of Completion issued byICTC ofBUPT.

How to apply

Conditions:

Ø Interested in Chinese language and Chinese culture;

Ø Age 18-65 years old with good physical condition;

Ø Follow the law and regulation of the People’s Republic of China as well as the rules and regulations of BUPT.

Time & Deadline:

Ø Application for summer session short-term language improvement training class is available before May 30th every year.

Process:

1. Applicants can take the < Application Form for the Chinese Language Training Course of BUPT>from the office of the International Training Center as well as downloading this form from http://hanyu.bupt.edu.cn/upload/file/201607/%E6%B1%89%E8%AF%AD%E5%85%A5%E5%AD%A6%E7%94%B3%E8%AF%B7%E8%A1%A8%20.doc. (Every single information should be provided)

2. Passport (scanned version), electronic identification photo (48mm*33mm).

3. Please e-mail the above three materials directly tohanyu09@bupt.edu.cn; or mail the application form (printed version), passport (copyright version) and one identification photo (48mm*33mm) to the office of The International Training Center of BUPT.

4. It is BUPT’s responsibility and obligation to check students’ application, once the application is accepted, the school will be in charge of the < Beijing University of Posts and Telecommunications Admission Notice > and <Visa Application for Study in China> (JW202 form) and send these two documents to the applicants.

5. Students have to take the JW202 form, the < Beijing University of Posts and Telecommunications Admission Notice >, the < physical examination record for foreigners > and the original form of the Serum test sheet to the Chinese embassy for student Visa.

6. Applicants should arrive at school on time based on the time requirement on the <Beijing University of Posts and Telecommunications Admission Notice>.

Noted: Application is available every year since 15 February, and ended every year on 20 May.

Tuition & Fees

Ø Registration Fee: 300 Yuan/student

Ø Tuition: 1000 Yuan/student/week

Ø Insurance Fee:400 Yuan/student (students are allowed to purchase international medical insurance prior to their departure to China.)
