The Regular Language Improvement Program ofthe International Chinese Training Center (ICTC) of the School of Humanities at Beijing University of Posts and Telecommunications (BUPT) refers to a language training program of one semester or more.
Fall Semester: September --- the end of December
Spring Semester: March --- the end of June.
Specific date for each semester’sbeginning and ending should follow thecriterion on the admission notice.
Class Arrangement
Our purpose is to designing different kinds of Chinese classes for different levels of international students, making sure that all students could use Chinese language proficiently to communicate with Chinese people and experience Chinese culture; and to establish solid foundation fortheir further studies (enroll in the post-graduate program in BUPT or other universities in Beijing) and work.
Course Contents
Ø Language Classes: Grammar, Spoken, Listening, Reading & Writing, etc.
Ø Cultural Classes: Chinese Calligraphy, Seal Cutting, Chinese Painting, Chinese Paper Cut, Chinese Knot, Chinese Martial Art, Qin, Tea, etc.
Ø Elective Classes: HSK training guidance, Business Chinese, Technology Chinese, Chinese Popular Culture, Lectures, etc.
Activities
Ø Visiting historical interests, museums, etc.
Ø Chinese Speech Competition, Meeting Chinese friends, Sports Activities, World Carnival, Singing and Dancing Performances, etc.
Ø Chinese Film Week, International students Art WorkExhibition, etc.
Ø Training and Organizing students to attend various Chinesecompetitions and activities that hold by Center for Language Education and Cooperation and other related institutions.
Meeting time
(Monday --- Friday)
20-24 classes per week.
Graduation
Ø Student whose attendance rate reaches 85% or above and qualified in every classes will receive a Certification of Completion issued by ICTC ofBUPT.
ØWe are also available to corporate with overseas universities and educational institutions, based on their educational objectives, opening long-term training classes for specific Chinese courses such as hotel management Chinese training class, business Chinese express class, economic management Chinese training class, etc.
How to apply
Conditions:
Ø Interested in Chinese language and Chinese culture;
Ø Age 18-65 years old with good physical condition;
Ø Follow the law and regulation of the People’s Republic of China as well as the rules and regulations of BUPT.
Time & Deadline:
Ø Fall Semester (thebeginning of September --- the end of December): available to apply before the end of August.
Ø Spring Semester (the beginning of March --- the end of June): available to apply before the end ofFebruary.

③Please email the above three materialsdirectlytohanyu09@bupt.edu.cn; or mail the application form (printed version), passport (copyright version) and one identification photo (48mm*33mm) to the office ofThe International Training Center of BUPT.
It is BUPT’s responsibility and obligation to check students’ application, once the application is accepted, the school will be in charge of the < Beijing University of Posts and Telecommunications Admission Notice > and <Visa Application for Study in China> (JW202 form) and send these two documents to the applicants.
Students have to take the JW202 form, the < Beijing University of Posts and Telecommunications Admission Notice >, the < physical examination record for foreigners > and the original form of the Serum test sheet to the Chinese embassy for student Visa.
Applicants should arrive at school on time based on the time requirement on the <Beijing University of Posts and Telecommunications Admission Notice>.

Ø Registration Fee: 500 Yuan/student
Ø Tuition: 8200 Yuan/student/semester (excellent students who gets an“A” in the pastsemester would enjoy a 1000 Yuan deduction fromtheir tuition)
Ø Insurance Fee:400 Yuan/student/semester
