TheMaster of Teaching Chinese to Speakers of Other Languages (MTCSOL)mainly cultivates high-level professionals who love international Chinese education, understand the history and current situation of the development of Chinese as a second language teaching discipline, have solid professional knowledge, possess proficient online teaching skills and better Chinese cultural interpretation and cross-cultural communication skills, and are capable of teaching Chinese internationally. They are also capable of working in primary and secondary school education, press and publication, enterprises and public institutions, and government agencies.
The master's degree in Chinese International Education is based on the advantages of information and communication disciplines and industries of Beijing University of Posts and Telecommunications, and has two directions: Chinese teaching and application of information technology, and intelligent communication of Chinese culture.
The training mode adopts a combination of course study and Chinese international teaching practice, with a duration of 3 years, including 2 years of course study and thesis writing, and 1 year of teaching practice. The curriculum is divided into four sections: Required courses of public fundamental, professional core courses, training courses and elective courses, with a total of no less than 46 credits (no less than 48 credits for non-Chinese undergraduate background), including 6 credits for teaching practice.
