Goals

The bachelor’s degree in Chinese is our unique and outstanding program for foreigners, aiming at overseas students. We are devoted to foster student who fits the need of “internet+” for the international community.

Our purpose is to cultivate talent learners who have the ability to use Chinese language proficiently, to understand Chinese culture thoroughly. In order to provide our students with strong language background for further studies, although this major is being mainly Chinese language-oriented, we offer obligatory courses and elective courses such as telecommunicate, computer science,digital media, etc.

In order to give them the best support for their enrollment in post-graduate programs in the future, international students who involved in this program can enjoy the opportunity to sit on every class in BUPT during their 4-year studies in the training center.

Courses

Grammar，Listening，Oral Speaking，Political Listening，Magazine-Internet Reading，Chinese audio-visual class，Modern Chinese Language， Chinese， Cross-Culture History， Communicate，Literary， Basic Chinese Writing.

Advantages

We accept international students with zero Chinese language knowledge (we teach from the beginning), who can save a year from preparatory class.

In order to give them the best support for their enrollment in post-graduate programs in the future, international students who involved in this program can enjoy the opportunity to sit on every class in BUPT during their 4-year studies in the training center.

Students could apply to get enrolled in the post-graduate program in BUPT after graduation; excellent students (with outstanding transcript) could apply for the scholarship.

Study Period

Four years with flexibility, students could complete their courses in 3-6 years.

Targeted People

International students whose Chinese language level is not required.

Qualification of International students

1.International students must hold foreign nationality.

2.For students who are Chinese immigrants to foreign countries with one or both

parents being Chinese citizens settled in foreign countries while the students

themselves born with a foreign nationality, they must hold a valid passport or a

foreign nationality certificate that proves that in the past four years, they have

actually been living abroad for more than two years.

Tuition(￥)

1. Registration Fee 500 Yuan/student

2. Tuition 20000 Yuan/student/year

3. Insurance Fee 800 Yuan/student/year

A certain amount of scholarships will be offered by the government of Beijing every year, specific information should follow the notification for that certain year.

4. Housing Expense 50 Yuan/bed/day

We apply twin bed with TV, telephone, internet access, air-conditioning and independent bathroom. Kitchen, electronic water heating, refrigerator, laundry room with washing and dry cleaning machine are also provided on each floor. Living off-campus is also accepted.

Application Time and Procedure

1.The application period is from December 1 to May 20 each year.

2.Prepare all required documents and complete the application process on BUPT

website (https://bupt.17gz.org/) (The original documents must be presented when

applicants arrive at campus) OR mail all documents to us (Mailing address: Postbox

211, International Office, Beijing University of Posts and Telecommunications, 10#

Xitucheng Road, Haidian District, Beijing, P. R. China, Postcode:100876).

3.All application materials will be reviewed by the university. Once the application

is approved, BUPT will send BUPT Admission Notice and the Application Form for

Students from Overseas (JW 202 Form for short) and mail the two documents to

successful applicants;

4.The applicant goes in person to Chinese Embassy in his or her own country to

apply for a (X) visa to study in China with the following materials: JW 202 Form,

BUPT Admission Notice, Physical Examination Record for Foreigners;

5.After going through the above application procedures, the applicant shall enroll

in BUPT within the time notified in the BUPT.
